Avocado health facts

Is avocado good for you? The answer is yes!

Eating avocados as a part of a moderate fat diet is good for reducing LDL cholesterol (the bad one) because of the high content of monounsaturated fats. Avocados are also packed with other nutrients including fiber, potassium, folate and vitamin E.

How much avocado should we eat?

The recommended serving size would be 1/3 of a medium avocado (more or less 50 gr). One serving of avocado contains 80 kcal and 6 grams of good fats.

How to cut and prepare a 1/3 avocado serving size?

Place avocado on a cutting board and make one cut from the top to the bottom on one side (do not go all the way around)Turn the avocado 1/3 of the way around and make the same cutBreak apart, pull out the 1/3 avocadoPeel away the skin from the 1/3 avocado and slice as desired.
